The 2026 Formula 1 season has now reached its summer break, and so far it has been a triumphant one for Bell Racing. Across the first 11 Grands Prix of the year, the drivers wearing our helmets have won every Grand Prix, every Sprint race and every pole position.
Andrea Kimi Antonelli has claimed six wins, five of them consecutive, and currently leads the Drivers’ Championship with 219 points. The 19-year-old Italian secured his maiden F1 win in Shanghai before adding further victories at Suzuka, Miami, Montréal, the legendary streets of Monte Carlo and, most recently, Spa-Francorchamps. The opening round of the season in Melbourne was won by his teammate George Russell, who also triumphed at Spielberg.
Another of the season’s standout stories has been the return to winning ways of seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton. At the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Hamilton claimed his first win as a Scuderia Ferrari HP driver, a landmark moment already etched into motorsport history. Ferrari also celebrated success at the British Grand Prix with Charles Leclerc.
The Hungarian Grand Prix, the final race before the summer break, saw reigning World Champion Lando Norris claim a commanding win.
Bell Racing’s dominance in F1 is reflected in several impressive statistics. Fourteen full-time drivers, representing 64% of the grid, race wearing our helmets. Even more remarkably, Bell-equipped drivers, including Oscar Piastri and Pierre Gasly, have secured 88% of all podium finishes available so far this season.
Starting this season, our drivers are competing with the HP77 Evo IV, certified to the FIA 8860-2018 ABP standard, the most demanding head protection standard in motorsport. The helmet’s key innovation is the integration of the SmartLock visor locking mechanism, which further enhances safety in the event of an impact.
The system has been designed to preserve the renowned Bell Racing user experience. Positioned on the side of the helmet, SmartLock optimizes other critical helmet performance characteristics, including ventilation, airflow, streamlining and sealing.
The 2026 Formula 1 season will resume with the Dutch Grand Prix on August 23, where the drivers wearing our helmets are once again expected to play leading roles.
