Versatility is a characteristic that has made a lot of drivers unforgettable in motorsport history. This old-style approach has also characterized the 2024 of Conor Daly, who due to a set of circumstances, has been able to measure himself in different categories in the United States: INDYCAR Series, where he boasts over 100 starts, but also stock car and GT races, impressing at every occasion.
“2024 was a very strange year because at the beginning there was nothing on my schedule, I was just waiting for the Indy 500 and then I had a great race finishing tenth. After that I raced in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Truck Series and came back to INDYCAR, which was my goal”, Conor explains. “In the end, 2024 was a lot of fun. I didn’t do many races, but I preferred quality over quantity, being always competitive.”
In the 2024 INDYCAR Series , Conor drove for three different teams, finding a home at Juncos Hollinger Racing for the final part of the season. In race 1 at the Milwaukee Mile, Daly celebrated a fantastic third place: “It has been a huge accomplishment giving how difficult the championship is now,” he underlined.
“When you have a one-off race in a different series you can do very well, but over the course of a whole season you see how difficult it is to adapt to each car and category. However, when you succeed, people really respect you. I enjoyed having that kind of experience, trying something new,” Conor continued. “It made me grow, without a doubt. Every time I go racing in INDYCAR, what I did in NASCAR helped me, I believe. The more driving you can do, the better you become as a racer“.

Daly’s versatility was also supported by Bell Racing, with the supply of helmets suited to the requirements of each discipline, with cars with very different characteristics. “Considering I also participated in sports car racing in the GT World Challenge, I used three Bell helmets with different features during the year”, Conor remembered, as he wore the HP77 model for INDYCAR, the RS7C LTWT for NASCAR and the HP7 for GT racing.
“I liked the help Bell Racing gave me whenever I said what I would need for a specific category. What I ask for is always is always respected. I needed a helmet because you got to be safe, and you got to be ready to go. So, there’s always something that I feel like I’ve asked for, and maybe it’s a late ask. The service has without a doubt been the most meaningful thing to me, because when I’m in need, I always feel like I can go to the team here and they help out”.
In conclusion, Conor commented: “What I like most about Bell Racing helmets is the way they wrap around my forehead. They all fit perfectly, which is very useful for a driver that needs to perform. Regardless of the category, my head always felt good and safe. The way I am comfortable in them is very important, and sometimes it’s not easy with the size of my head!”.
Daly will continue to wear Bell Racing helmets for the 2025 campaign, which will see him competing full-time in the INDYCAR Series. The season opener is scheduled to take place in St. Petersburg on 2 March.
