Pascal Wehrlein has further cemented his place in motorsport history by claiming his second ABB FIA Formula E World Championship title. The German driver achieved the feat in a thrilling finale to the 2025-2026 season at the London E-Prix, finishing the campaign with 169 points. And once again, Wehrlein did it wearing Bell Racing helmets.
Heading into the London weekend, for which he sported a special helmet design, Wehrlein sat third in the overall standings. However, pole position and victory in Race 1 turned the situation around, moving him into the lead in what proved to be the decisive moment of the title fight.
“What we did this weekend was outstanding again, delivered when we had to deliver, under pressure. You don’t crack under the pressure, we love the pressure, we embrace it, and we get even better with pressure, so that is fantastic”, Wehrlein commented after the celebrations.
Of the nine drivers who arrived in London with a mathematical chance of winning the title, five wore Bell Racing helmets: Wehrlein, Jake Dennis, reigning champion Oliver Rowland, Nico Müller and Nyck de Vries. This reflected our brand’s strong presence on the grid, with 15 full-time drivers in the all-electric series competing with the top-of-the-range HP77 helmet. Bell-equipped drivers won 12 of the 17 races contested during the season, also thanks to Lucas di Grassi, Dan Ticktum and Taylor Barnard.
Wehrlein’s title carries special technical significance for Bell Racing, as it is the first championship won with helmets equipped with SmartLock™, the advanced visor locking mechanism developed to meet the latest FIA safety regulations.
With this triumph, Wehrlein joins a highly exclusive club. He becomes only the second driver in Formula E history to win two World Championship titles, alongside Jean-Éric Vergne, who until now had been the only driver to reach that milestone.
The result also continues Bell Racing’s remarkable winning tradition in Formula E, with Bell-equipped drivers now having claimed eight titles since the championship was founded in 2014.
