
Bell Driver Carl Edwards traveled from Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California Saturday afternoon to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, started from back of the field and took home the victory Saturday night in the NASCAR Nationwide Series NorthernTool.com 250 at The Milwaukee Mile. Edwardâs chased down race leader Kyle Busch and made a pass for the lead on lap 205, staying in front the final 50 laps to take the win. The victory was Edwardâs first Nationwide win of 2009 and second victory in a row at Milwaukee. âIt seems like almost every week, weâre getting faster and faster,â Edwards said. âItâs really cool to get that first win. Hopefully, it kicks off the rest of the season like it did last year. We could go win every race. Thatâs how we try to approach them. As good as last season ended, it didnât get good until a year ago tonight. All my guys are aware of that, I was aware of that. People were mentioning that to me as I was getting in the car: âHey, do you remember last year?â I thought, âBoy, if we could do that again and get it going, thereâs no reason we canât have the same success.â Edwardâs, the defending Series Champion and currently second in the point standings of the NASCAR Nationwide series, closed Kyle Buschâs lead to 127 points with the win.
