Kevin Harvick won his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck race in five years on Friday at Phoenix International Raceway. With his win, Harvick became the third member of Kevin Harvick Racing to win a Truck Race in as many races.
Harvick took the lead for the first time on lap 56. With a caution eight laps later, the leaders pitted and Harvick was back into the second spot by the midway point of the race on lap 75. Another caution and restart on lap 95 saw Harvick take the lead again on lap 100. The final restart on lap 142 had Harvick in the lead, where he stayed to take the victory.
Friday's race proved to be eventful for NASCAR Craftsman Truck points leader, Johnny Benson. He was involved in several accidents and caution flags throughout the race. He finished the race in the 26th position. Benson holds a three point lead in the standings.
Kevin Harvick wears the Vortex.2 Side Air and Johnny Benson wears the Vortex.2 Top Forced Air.
Congratulations to Kevin Harvick.
